2023 Bike and Brew Tour

Cycling, Glacier Viewing, and Beer Tasting!

We are pleased to offer our tours as a shore excursion through our cruise line partners!

To book a tour, please visit your cruise line's website.

Join us for an adventure-filled ride through the world's second largest rainforest: The Tongass National Forest.

Along your ride you will see lakes, old-growth and new-growth forests, and the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier.

Keep your eyes peeled and you might spot some wildlife such as Black Bears, Porcupines, Bald Eagles, Sitka Black-Tailed Deer, and Salmon!

Our friendly and knowledgeable local guides will enlighten you with Juneau's history, culture, and overall life in a rainforest!

Together you'll ride 8.5 miles via road, bike path, and trail ending up at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center.

You'll get some time to explore on your own, then you'll be transported back to Downtown Juneau for a tasting of award-winning beers from micro-breweries across Alaska!

  • Will it rain during my tour?
Juneau is situated within a rainforest, so rain is never out of the question.

Fun fact: 2022 was Juneau's wettest year on record!
We provide rain jackets, pants, and gloves on our tours in the event of rainy weather.

  • Are there any hills?
There is one small hill about 100 yards long. It is short enough that most people are easily able to bike up it. If you prefer, you can certainly get off your bike and walk -don't worry a guide will stay with you.
  • I haven't ridden a bike in a while... Is that okay?
You know what they say: It's just like riding a bike! But in this case, it is. Our guides will help everyone get acquainted with their bikes and ensure you're set up for success. If you have questions, our guides are there to help!

  • What if I don't want to ride anymore?
No worries! A van will follow alongside your tour for support. Feel free to hop in the van and your driver guide will provide you with the same excellent tour commentary and facts!

  • Are there restrooms?
There is a "real" restroom facility at Chapel by the Lake: our starting point for the cycling portion of the tour. There are also restrooms at the midway point and the end of the cycling portion at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center.

  • How do I get back to my ship when the tour is over?
The tour ends with your beer tasting right downtown near all of the cruise ship docks. Most will be able to walk out and enjoy exploring downtown just a few minute walk from your ship. For those guests that are at the furthest dock, we will offer a ride back and direct you to where you can catch a shuttle.

  • Do you have E-Bikes?
We do not offer E-Bikes on our tours. Our rental location offers E-bikes for half-day and full-day rentals.
  • Do you offer private tours or tours for independent travelers?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate private tours. Looking to explore Juneau by bike? We offer a wide range of rental bikes with self-guided tour options! Book online here:
